In cases of employee theft, we are usually approached by the shareholders or the directors of a business who suspect that theft by a manager or employee may be the cause of a drop in profitability. This can also follow allegations made by a whistle blower within the company or even a disgruntled spouse.

We will investigate this allegation by analysing in depth the underlying records of the company to quantify the likely theft. Our investigation will often include a forensic examination of a suspect’s hard drives which we find can be informative. In some cases we have found that the theft is more widespread than first thought and involve other members of staff not previously suspected.
