- Accountant Negligence: such as failure to spot fraud, incorrect preparation of accounts, inadequate due diligence work and advice in respect of acquisitions, and negligent tax advice – including mis-sale of film schemes. Such cases have involved advising on both liability and quantum.
- Solicitor Negligence: Examples include assisting a defendant in determining the negligence of a solicitor who failed to advise a client properly on an offer made by a supposedly struggling property purchaser who was obligated to make an overage claim when planning permission had been granted.
- Financial Service Advice Negligence: Assessing quantum where the adviser has given the client poor investment advice and determining what financial losses have been suffered as a result.
