We were instructed as forensic accountants by a firm of solicitors who had a contractual dispute with one of their suppliers from whom they had acquired new computer software and hardware.
The package did not do ‘what was written on the tin’. Our clients wanted us as forensic accountants to help resolve their contractual dispute and assist in their claim for damages.
We were able to analyse the amount of time that our clients had spent on the computer system that had proved to be abortive and how much they had lost by way of lost fees from inadequate billing, and were able to assist them in their negotiations with their computer supplier in their recovery of around £50,000 by way of damages.
